Quit reading the NY Times and pay attention to Rome.
The Pope is appointing much more conservative Bishops into key, previously liberal strongholds.
I reject your assertion the Church is moving left.
Take a look at the Leadership and the following of Archbishop Chaput in Denver.
I’m a Catholic convert living in one of the highest population Catholic areas of the US, Miami Fl. My parish? Well, I can barely go to mass anymore over the complete leftist tilt it has taken since I entered the Church.
How do I find a Parish more in line with the Conservative movement Pope Benedict is making (yes, I realize he is moving the Church Right) when I have a, entrenched Bishop (Favalora) who promotes Social Justice OVER AND ABOVE the teachings of the Church (IMO)?
I’m honestly having a crisis of faith right now at a time in my life when I need my Church more than ever.
You say find a Parish inline more so with Rome. How does one do that? And yes, I’m asking this question in all seriousness.
