Saved, as in saved from the punishment for your sins.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I was "saved" from Original sin when I was baptized. I continue to be "saved" when I confess my sins to God and accept His forgiveness.
