Scripture tells us God elects men to salvation, not on foreseen faith or good works, but according to his own purpose.

It is that purpose whereby He elects some to salvation and not others that we do not know.

I know I have a son. I do not know why God gave me a son and not a daughter beyond the fact that it was His will.

The WCF forecloses even to possibility that God has determined to elect even one person on the basis of His infinite foreknowledge

As well it should because if even one man is elected according to his righteous act of foreseen faith then the entire doctrine of man's fallen nature (total depravity; total inability) is up-ended.

But the Fall and its aftermath are clear in Scripture. "There is none righteous; no, not one."

Scripture tells us God elects men to salvation,
True.

not on foreseen faith or good works,
Who told you that? I thought his reasons were unknown

but according to his own purpose.
True.

"There is none righteous; no, not one."

In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord. (Luk 1:5-6) ESV
