wagglebee: The key phrase here is "obtain for us", this is totally different from saying that she dispenses salvation.

Dr. Eckleburg: A distinction without a difference.

The difference is when one asks the obvious question "obtains for us" salvation...obtains for us from whom?

As with all other things, the Blessed Virgin Mary leads us back to Christ.

"Do whatever He tells you."

Just as a matter of interest, how does that translate into Mary being available for entertaining prayers currently (if it does), and how does prayer to her differ from what Saul did in the Old Testament, which practice was condemned?
