In related news, as I have said before, I LOVE the idea of Purgatory. it always kind of brings me up short when I find that some people think it's just dreadful.Ya know what brings me up short? That there are people that will spend eternity in hell... I hate that thought
My concern about purgatory is it makes the cross of no effect, men have to pay for their own sins..

My concern about purgatory is it makes the cross of no effect, men have to pay for their own sins.. Purgatory diminishes nothing about the Cross. It is the process of making a human being (by definition in a state of sin) able to enter Heaven (by definition a place where no sin can exist). All Scriptural and all demonstrable.
