See, that’s the problem with evil...it’s contagious. When someone does something so outrageous that even a little sick lady like me wouldn’t spit on them if they were on fire, it is very very difficult to remember Christ.
BUT! He died for my sins as much as for anyone’s. I’m definitely in need of His Saving Grace. So I pray that God will bless sinners, especially those most in need of His mercy. The shepherd goes out to find the LOST sheep. Coakley appears to be lost. I am no one’s judge.
To curse someone is a malediction. Christ told us 1) Love God above all 2)Love our neighbor as ourselves 3) To pray for our enemies 4)return good for evil 5)show the world we are His by our love for one another.
Wrath is one of the cardinal sins; we are all sinners. We must not let evil infect us, but in any way we can, we should obey Him.
“Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Martha Coakley” might work...;-D
Scripture indicates that the
JUDGMENTS OF THE LORD ARE RIGHTEOUS.
HE IS RIGHTEOUS IN ALL HIS WAYS.
I firmly believe that those prayers I prayed re Coakley were the most loving things I could extend toward her.
The BEST thing that can happen to her is to have her sensibilities, her life—her whole being caught up sternly short before she continues down that road further racking up more punishments upon herself.
I have experienced judgments of The Lord that I wouldn’t have wished on Hitler.
Yet I know they were GOD’S MERCY to me.
I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been there can very fully understand.
