Wait, are you claiming to be "another Christ?"
It sounds like this:
(1)Jesus called on people to repent; Is that the argument you are making?
(2)I call on you to repent; therefore
(3)My call for repentance is as authoritative as Jesus' call.
What does Jesus' call to repent have to do with a member of one group of Christians telling members of another group of Christians to repent?
I did not know Catholics, unlike the rest of mankind are above the need to repent before a Holy God..
I'm so glad to hear that, because one cannot know what isn't true -- at least in regular epistemology. If you claimed to know it, you'd be claiming the impossible.
But of course, the question to which you are responding is not about the need to repent but about the propriety of your telling us to repent.
In my experience on FR when a Calvinist instructs a Catholic to repent it follows a falsehood about what we believe and teach.
Maybe in some world-views it's meaningful to tell people repent for doing something they don't do, but in our universe it is, at the very best, inexplicable.
Repent.
;-)
Hey Dawg !
I have not ever told anyone to repent here on FR or any forum because I believe that it is God that calls on men to repent.
I do not believe an unsaved man can repent until the Holy Spirt opens his eyes and gives him the gift of repentance.
An unsaved man can repent of himself all day long and God hears none of it..
So I do not have a dog in this particular fight
