If I kiss my dog, it's different from if I kiss my wife. If I tell my dog to "sit" it's different from asking my wife to come over here and sit down. the telling and the asking are differnt only in that they are addressed to different sorts of beings. We use the same word because SOMETHING is the same. But that doesn't mean they're entirely the same.
The task here is not to say, "But it's different, it's different!" The task is to try to find HOW it's different and then to see what kind of difference that makes.
