Who are the Catholics: The Orthodox or The Romanists, or both?
Me

I just witnessed a couple of Orthodox posters get kicked off a "Catholic Caucus" thread. I thought, despite their differences, they had a mutual understanding that each sect was considered "Catholic". Are not the Orthodox considered Catholic? Why do the Romanists get to monopolize the term "Catholic"?
I consider myself to be Catholic being a part of the universal church of Christ. Why should one sect be able to use a universal concept to identify themselves in a caucus thread while other Christian denominations need to use specific qualifiers to identify themselves in a caucus thread?

Amen, Alamo-girl.
Even sincere Christians can practice idolatry. As you once commented, we do it every day when we put something or someone either ahead of or on the same level as the Triune God. Even when we do not give all glory to God, but instead give only partial glory to God, conferring on things and people and actions what rightly belongs to him alone 100% - Solo Christo, Sola Gracia, Soli Deo Gloria.
And we all err every day of our lives. God willing, we err less and less as we come to know better our own fallen natures and the God who has saved us from them.
All who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord, God, King and Savior have been redeemed by His sacrifice on the cross. We are more fortunate than we can even imagine - all believers.

No answer huh?I decline your offer to bind myself to your false tradition of men (sola Scriptura) to disprove your other false tradition of men (sola fide).
It seems you now admit that a works based salvation is tradition not scriptural?
Your perceptive skills are not exactly keen, are they?
I expressly reject works-based salvation much in the same way I expressly reject sola fide.
Both faith and works are required.
Quoting parts of Scripture only gets you part of the Truth.

I ASSKED FOR SOME SCRIPTURE ON WHAT you BELIEVE. it was not a discussion on sola scriptura.. it was a salvation discussion .
he could not come up with a scripture so he changed the topic.. indicating that salvation by faith AND WORKS is tradition not scripture

One thing I notice on the part of some on these threads is a persistence in saying that we beleive things we do not believe and do things we do not do.Obviously and clearly some and maybe many or most Catholics believe the things we post about because we get that information directly from Catholics...
Why do you get outraged at us for posting what we get from you???

Had I strayed too far the RM would have intervened and didn't. If any FReeper doesn't want their activities identified as lies and insults they shouldn't tell lies and insults. Some rules like bearing false witness come from a higher authority than the RM.I generally don't ping the mods but your defense here is even worse than your earlier remark that "I hurl lies."
Maybe we do need a ruling to prevent future problems.

I do not call FReepers "liars." Even when a few people twist my words, I try to refute the twisting without resorting to name-calling.
Not easy, but it's a worthwhile goal.

...it was not a discussion on sola scriptura... Every demand for Scripture implicates the errant tradition of men known as sola Scriptura.
...he could not come up with a scripture...
False. I refused to be limited to Scripture alone in order to satisfy your false tradition of men.
..... indicating that salvation by faith AND WORKS is tradition not scripture...
False dichotomy.

No answer again huh? We should be careful not to back ourselves into apologetic corners where we can not answer questions we generate..
Please define your understanding of sola scriptura because i do not think you have a reformation understanding
One more thing..would you agree that the teaching of salvation is works + faith are tradition not scripture?
