I am asking for prayer for my marriage. My husband [name deleted by Mod for poster's own protection] has committed adultery. I know God hates divorce and this appears to be the direction he is taking. Lots of issues involved...I won't go into here..but he needs to come to repentance and to allow God to heal his heart...and mine too. The pain is almost too much to bear at this point. Our marriage needs divine healing and that is what I am asking you to pray for. God is not through with us as a couple yet...we have much work to do. Satan has tried to put a monkey wrench in the mix...but God is greater. Thanks for praying...

Leenie, I am praying for you and Rick and please know I have seen love and prayer work before to heal betrayed relationships. Focus on love (not tolerance or acceptance)... All the dark stuff won’t help now. Process that later and now - separate from him - not with him.
Main thing - learn to take care of yourself and be yourself - whole and complete - so you will be okay no matter what happens.
Who are you and why are you bringing something so personal here? Don’t mean to sound harsh but its my understanding this is a conservative political web-site, not a marriage counseling service.

In my opinion, if you can make it through the initial first few weeks when the anger, hurt, and animosity is at the greatest; you have a reasonable chance of saving your marriage. There will be a lot of yelling, finger pointing, anger, sudden rage, a sense of abandonment, and a quest for the details to the infidelity. This is all normal. Buy some books, study up, and the most important lesson is FORGIVE, the second most important lesson is FORGIVE, and the third most important lesson is FORGIVE.
