In case you haven't noticed, the vast majority of your co-religionists are very vocal in their Biblical criticism and their uniformitarianism, and I notice that those of you who disagree very rarely, if ever, rebuke them or even try to offer balance.
How in the world do deal with the cognitive dissonance of feeling at home in an organization in which your beliefs are rejected and scorned by a majority of the members (or at least the loudest ones).
Ever hear the expression that you're in the majority if you have God on your side? And it isn't "Biblical criticism" if you don't believe the universe is only 6,000 years old. You know I don't believe in evolution, but thinks that the universe is old.
