According to the stated rules of the FR Religion Forum, we are permitted to criticize a faith or doctrine or practice (such as referring to the RCC as "the whore of Babylon") but we are not permitted to call other FReepers names or make personally insulting remarks about individual FReepers.

All in all, a very workable rule which should keep any personal rancor to a minimum.

Sadly there are some who see any criticism of their church as a personal insult. Those FReepers have been instructed to post somewhere else since the open RF is like a "town hall" with all its various and often conflicting points of view.

Yes, that is true. And for the record, I happen to appreciate the RCs stand on abortion and homosexuality. And violence against peopel who stand for such is not acceptable. But criticism of doctrine of course is. At least, for now.
