Actually . . . . it’s far more often been the case, in my 62 years . . . that nondescript fringe folks who were social ‘nobodies’ in the world’s eyes . . . and often who had poor grammar and poor education and often poorly matching clothes but KNEW JESUS AND THE FATHER SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO INTIMATELY

Apart from a certain overwrought tone here, and the bit about "anointing," did I say otherwise? Did you actually read my post? We witness to and for Christ in all of our speech and actions, if we act according to the grace He gives us. But this sort of witnessing involves using our own words in virtually every case. On the very rare occasion where God wishes to have His words conveyed through a mere human, He generally gets the grammar of the language of the seer down correctly, and the person can thus quote Him in such a way that the very words used convey part of the message's authenticity. But the poor grammar, vocabulary and thought organization of these "quotes" from Jedediah's fantasies betoken a lack of authenticity.

I happen to disagree with a lot of the theology (I use the term loosely) in these ravings. But, even if I agreed with all of their sentiments, my mere assent to their content is no evidence whatsoever that they are legitimate locutions from God Himself. These locutions are getting dangerous!

Now, God is ordering His people to prepare for certain events, and do certain things. Jedediah dares to force God's hand with respect to timing and circumstances of His return??? Clearly, these are not real quotes from God, or they'd be better phrased and thought-out. Therefore, they are false attributions of His actual will. They might be "good" wishful thinking, but they are not His words! So, what if these words from Jedediah are "wrong"? What if God comes for His own a hundred, five hundred or ten thousand years from now?

The urgency of these "messages" will bring about a false hope (and a false sense of righteousness connected to that hope) to all of Jedediah's believers. They will be disinclined to worry about the anti-Christian times already upon us, because they're convinced He's coming for them any day now, and they'll get a pass on dealing with those times. But what happens to their faith if they wind-up "stuck" here on earth for the duration? It shouldn't take Solomon in all of his widom to see some likely outcomes here. Satan wins in those outcomes, through the discouragement and apostasy of erstwhile believers feeling they've been conned, who chuck it all in the face of possibly quite intense persecution. That sort of thing is very likely to be a good chunk of the "great apostasy" Jesus foretold!

How much time do you want to give these "prophesies" to pan out? The alleged words of Christ in them seem to sound as though you should be raptured out of here in no more than a matter of a few months. Will you concede the false nature of these locutions if, in two years, you are still stuck here on the FR religion forum?

Unlike Jedediah, I don't claim to have any special standing in God's eyes, and don't hear His voice giving me explicit messages to convey. I don't claim to know the future beyond perhaps the next few seconds (at best), as they might pertain to events taking place within a few feet of me. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure you and I, and the rest of the folks on this thread, will either be still typing away on this forum, or rid of this mortal coil as individuals, and not through any misapprehended notions of the Rapture.

On January 1, 2013, the entire crowd here on the FR religion forum will deride the credulous who thought Mayan prophecies about 2012 had any merit. Again, unless we're called home as individuals in the meantime, you and I will likely be among them, and, in our very act of derision, provide evidence that Jedediah is a false prophet. I have every confidence of that...but, when those circumstances prove me right, I promise you and everyone here that I won't claim any "prophet" label!
