Can’t seem to find the links posted on FR, perhaps the articles were removed. I certainly read them on FR though. I did consult dr. google with
“mary unite catholic muslim”
and found plenty of references. No promises on the sites that will take you to.

Well you see, when you make these statements the burden of proof is on you. I'm not going to spend hours trying to prove a negative.
The Catholic Church IS NOT considering uniting with Islam except perhaps in the minds of lunatics. If you believe otherwise, YOU need to provide documentation.

Listen, I read the article on FR, the words Mary and either Islam or Muslim was in the title. A few days after I read it I was able to search on it and find the article. It was awhile ago. Why isnt the article there now? ... how the heck would I know. I provided the google search to make sure it was out there somewhere ... and there are more than a few articles.
The burden of proof that the articles exist has been fulfilled. The burden of curiosity is on you. Go read the articles ... or don’t ... what do I care?

You remind me of the guy on People’s Court this morning that handed the judge a Money order receipt.
She said, “How do I know this went to him?”
The guy replied “I wrote his name on the back.”
Seriously, do you think that because you state it, it’s proof?
Really?
If a lib did that would you accept it?

No, Im saying that Mary will be the key building bridge by which the RCC will unite with Muslims. Not a problem! All those Muslims have to do is recite (and believe) the Nicene Creed and accept Trinitarian baptism, and we'll be able to unite with them.
(Of course, that makes them apostates from Islam, but who's keeping score ...)

Is there anyway to ping the more reasonable non-Catholics to this? Build it and they will come :-)

That is possible, or it is also possible that the bigots swarm the thread and discredit all of the Evangelicals on the panel. I disagree with all of you. There is no way to defend the indefensible. The agreement is all here in black on white; no arguments remain.

Men of good will who are genuinely searching for the truth (as opposed to trying to fling as much poop in the opposite direction as possible) can accomplish wonders. Prayers for the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit on these good men. Agreed. Notice one of the signatories is Fr. Richard John Neuhaus (19362009) who felt very strongly about this and invested years in this project. May he rest with the angels and saints!

Do Christian evangelists use this affinity for Mary at all in trying to talk to Muslims about Christ? If they like Mary, maybe they would like to know what she says about her Son.
To: dartuser
The burden of proof that the articles exist has been fulfilled. Nonsense.

A lengthy but worthwhile read.
Maybe sometime.
It will help all of us to better understand each others posting comments when we have a clear understanding of the views of our respective churches.
Eh? Call it incomprehensible anarchy if you want, but none of the individuals listed as "Evangelical Protestants" speaks for me.
