Henry had a point, at the time. If he ruled by Divine Right, he had just as much a claim to be a representative of God on Earth as the Pope.

Henry had no point, at that time or any other. Any claims that he might have had to be a representative of God on Earth because of his Divine Right as king were limited to the secular realm. Kings have no place in the divine constitution of the Church.

I wasn’t claiming he had Divine Right. My statement was his right in his mind, I was playing the role of clairvoyant for the moment.
