She’s a MINOR. Have two officers put her in the back of a squad car and hit the highway. What if she was a convert to Scientology or some Satanic cult and ran away from her Methodist parents and “refused” to go back? Send her back anyway!

Ohio courts are going to handle the case, and have already said that the girl will be placed in foster care pending resolution of the case, and that both the girl and her parents will have to undergo psychiatric evaluations. Frankly, I suspect all three of them actually need this. Unfortunately, she’s likely to turn 18 before any final resolution is reached, and not be deemed crazy enough to be kept in custody against her will, and so will run off again to crackpot Christian friends who are encouraging her Messiah complex.

One major difference --- Methodists don't have Sharia teachings that says an apostate should be put to death. Also, the mosque her parents go to is not exactly a moderate one.

The child's parents are devout followers of Islam and members of the extreme Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Columbus, Ohio. This is where the internationally known Hama cleric, Salah Sultan, was the resident scholar before being banned from the United States. Salah Sultan is known as a global terrorist who publicly advocates the killing of Americans and Jews. The largest cell of Al Qaeda operatives was operating from the largest mosque in the Columbus area. Columbus is one of the cities under current investigation concerning the U.S. operations of Al-Qaeda. In other words, The child is a possible target for the radical Muslim community of Columbus, Ohio (if not her parents).

Had it been the case with what you said ( e.g. Scientology), there would have been less concern and worry.
