Riddle me this: Why is the Catholic mass in Latin? Why don't you go to one sometime and report back to us? Unless you're at a very unusual parish, you'll find:
- It's all in English
- There are three (two on weekdays) substantial Bible readings, in English and a Psalm, in English
- There are lots of other quotations from scripture
- Even if you go to a Latin Mass, they'll almost certainly give you the readings in both Latin and in English. And there's a book you can pick up in the back of the church that gives you everything, word for word ... in English

Yep, nothing screams "I know nothing about Catholicism" as much a statement like that, except, of course, the old favorite "You Catholics believe the Pope is infallible".
