This particular article has a good summary of the basic beliefs of mormonism from the "horse's mouth" as it were.
As my post in reply #1 states, I am former mormon, and with a group of Christians regularly post informative articles on FR as a limited way to present an antidote to the worldwide proselytizing of the LDS church.
There are quite a few who visit FR who see only the "face" of mormonism and are unaware of the core beliefs. The 60,000+ LDS missionaries sent out every year and the commercials on TV will not disclose much of the core belief to investigators.
I read about your “former” status. Thanks for posting. I was only commenting on the fallacious nature of the argument comparing Peter with Joseph Smith. With that line of reasoning, I could start my own religion because I too make mistakes. It’s just funny how dressed up error can be.
