Thank you for your explanation. God certainly doesn’t want our lip service in worship. Only He knows our heart, however. I’m not sure that any of us understand what real worship is, but I’m certainly willing to learn.

In my life, internal worship starts with quiet contemplative prayer with the intention of seeking the Lord. The Catholic faith has a long tradition of this and there are many excellent books out there -- my favorite is Open Mind, Open Heart by Thomas Keating. It starts with setting aside time each day and keeping it up as a habit to clear thoughts.

From there I found I began to know the Lord, not just know about Him. Internal worship comes from following His commandments and taking the time to listen for the wisdom that is all around us. God is everywhere. With a positive attitude and letting go of the 'ego', He can be seen.

When our will is aligned and attuned to Gods, we are worshipping internally.
