>>We don’t know Mary’s demeanor. We have no idea whether she did or did not “lose her self-control or wish to flee.”<<

*snicker*
I’m sure she was ready to party down after seeing her son whipped and hung on a cross. Right.

When my husband was dying, I sat with him, did not lose my self-control, and did not wish to flee. Were I with my son at his death, I would be the same, there for him, giving him every ounce of love and strength I possessed.

If I, a lowly sinner, can manage that, surely Mary, mother of God, could, for her son. Where do the scriptures say that she lost control or wished to flee?

Or is that another example of reading more into Holy Scriptures than is there? After all, protestants have already told us Christ had more respect for everyone else than his mother...

The statement stands as fact in opposition to the fiction Rome spins.

Show us in the Bible where we learn Mary didn't "wish to flee."

Show us in the Bible where Mary "maintain(ed) such complete self-control and understanding of the logic of what was happening."

Whatever that means.
