I’m not seeing Mary on a cross in that picture.
I know that some people are Maryphobic. Nothing that shot of Haldol this month won’t cure.
But I have no problem at all with a statue of Mary caressing the Christ child being the focus of an altar. She was a very loving mother and it seems fitting that she should be bigger than Him if she is an adult and He is a child.
That's nothing to brag about.
I know that some people are Maryphobic.
I know of no Protestant who is "Maryphobic," regardless of how much Rome would like to paint all Bible-believing Christians as anti-Mary.
Bible-believing Christians are anti-idolatry and no one erects those golden calves like Rome. Even Mary, when put in a position over and above her Son, is an idol of men's hands. Rid yourself of it. Mary would be appalled to see what goes on in her name.
