It’s quite clear Jesus didn’t exist in that Catholic church...Someone stuck a photo of Jesus in there as an afterthought apparently...
The church of the Queen of Heaven...
No point in telling me, I’m not the one who offered this website as an authority.
A girl who struck her parents was beheaded.
lol. Riiight. And she couldn't watch TV for a week, either.
From 1541 to 1546, John Calvin caused 58 people to be executed
Lie. The only person who was put to death in Geneva was Servetus who had a death warrant put on his head by Rome for his denial of the Trinity.
"...It should be noted that only Servetus was put to death in Geneva and no one else. No Catholic or Anabaptist was ever executed in Geneva for the sake of his religious conviction..."
In fact, Geneva was a refuge for those fleeing religious persecution elsewhere.
Rome lies and lies unashamedly. Rome slaughtered hundreds of thousands of men, women and children during the Inquisition and as part of the counter-Reformation. Tens of thousands of French Huguenots were murdered in their sleep during the Roman Catholic rampage of the ST. BARTHOLOMEW'S DAY MASSACRE. From this link...
When news of the Massacre reached the Vatican there was jubilation! Cannons roaredbells rungand a special commemorative medal was struckto honor the occasion! The Pope commissioned Italian artist Vasari to paint a mural of the Massacrewhich still hangs in the Vatican!
Nobody has a bloodthirst like Rome.
INDEED.
INDEED.
Hmmmmmm
thanks for the other side of the story.
And yet, when confronted by the actual photos of Mary on the cross and Mary looming large above Jesus at the altar, it still is stomach-churning.
May God give them "repentance unto life."
lolol.
Uh, that's from YOUR website. If YOU are going to offer a website as authoritative then YOU need to be prepared to accept EVERYTHING they say.
You’re confused. That’s not “my” website and I didn’t post from it.
I stand corrected, the website you have recently taken to posting from also says some nasty things about Calvin.
And what kind of reasoning is that?
I can agree with the Trinitarian beliefs on vatican.va and still call all the Mariology and "another Christ" the blasphemy that it is.
see 772
Yes, but agreeing with a source is not the same as offering the source as an authority and I don’t recall you EVER stating that the Catholic Church was authoritative on anything. You have offered a website as an authority to bolster a belief you have, you have been unable to verify what this website says anywhere else.
***lol. So now Mary is “actively assisting Christ the king in governing???
This just gets worse and worse. Repent.***
Only in the sense of receiving prayers of the people and passing them on to him. The model here is the wedding at Cana.
Repent? I bow to God. I kneel to God. I prostrate myself before him both metaphorically and literally. How are the Orthodox Presbyterians doing these days? Have you amassed enough people to go from a minor hockey game crowd to an NHL game yet?
Seems like a lot of Roman Catholics are just used to accepting everything Rome says 100% without analyzing it or questioning it or even considering there may be more to the story or a different perspective other than what Rome postulates. I don't know if you fall into that category or not.
But not everyone is that myopic. Discernment counts.
Where is this photoshopped picture from? Why do you claim that it is either at the Vatican or in Rome or in Poland or somewhere? Why can nobody find it except at hysterical antiCatholic sites?
What you are hiding?
***I have affection for our separated brothers and sisters..my own DH is protestant...but the lack of understanding bothers me...especially when it becomes contentious. I think one of the issues is scripture hoping...
In any case, I will remember them in prayer...
God Bless***
I pray that you will not be disaffected by the contentiousness of some of the posters here and will not only keep the Faith, but help teach the rest of us.
***I accept the verification of that photo. You don’t. I’m not surprised. ***
I’m not either. On what grounds do accept the verification of this photo?
***If I posted an 8 x 10 glossy of that cross on the front door of the basilica in Rome some Roman Catholics would just as quickly say it was “photoshopped.” ***
The point is that you haven’t and would not unless it were photoshopped. This picture is not Catholic and saying that it is does not make it so unless you have proof. More proof than the Reformed are used to, anyway.
