Baptists
309. The Baptist Church is the true Church. It really acts as did the first Christians, while the Catholic Church is not mentioned in Scripture as the true Church.
The Baptist Church is certainly not mentioned in Scripture. The Catholic Church is most clearly described there. Meantime, do Baptists act as did the first Christians? Do they go to Confession? Have they the sacrifice of the Mass? Baptists, like other Protestants, insist upon one thing not commanded by Christ, and neglect most of the things insisted upon by Him. Also, Christ said that His Church would be in the world all days from His time until the end of the world. But where was the Baptist Church before the 15th century? Christ certainly was not the Founder of the Baptist Church. It is subject to all the defects common to other forms of Protestantism. Encoding copyright 2009 by Frederick Manligas Nacino. Then, since we all sin, no one goes to Heaven.
Oh wait, that passage in John is not the entire Gospel...there's more to it.
Actually Petronski, the bible says something else. From 1 John Chapter 3
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Can you identify, specifically or by class, any living persons who do not sin?

"Once again, you take a scripture, completely out of context and turn it into a pretzel to try and support your position." I provided solid definitions for the terms "binding and loosing" and "keys".

Nope. Its not biblical. But then some of these guys dont believe in just the Bible. They like all the extra-biblical stuff that man made up.It's far worse than that...They not only make up their man-made tradition, they wrest and pervert the scriptures to try to make them line up with their false doctrines of devils...

You have some definitional problems. You seem to think all Christians go to Heaven. You may have a point...I'm sure not all Catholic Christians will go to heaven...Maybe none of them...You won't know til and if you get there...
All Baptist Christians however, are guaranteed not only a place in heaven, but a mansion to live in as well...

I didn’t say he was wrong, I quoted the verse “and Jesus turned to Peter and said “get behind me satan”. I didn’t say Peter was satan, I said what Jesus said to Peter.
My point was, IF Jesus meant Peter was the Rock that Jesus will build HIS church, isn’t it odd that Jesus would say to the newly crowned pope “get behind Me satan” ?
Jesus asked Peter “who do you say I am ?” He answered “You are the Son of God” - The living God revealed this to Peter. Jesus specifically mentions that, and That revelation, that confession was/is THE ROCK in the “upon this Rock” statement that Jesus refers to. It’s Peters confession that Jesus is the Son of God through revelation. It’s that revelation, to all believers that builds HIS church.

Jesus specifically mentions that,To explain why He had chosen Peter.
...and That revelation, that confession was/is THE ROCK in the upon this Rock statement that Jesus refers to.
That is a common misinterpretation.

Sorry, the misinterpretation is yours. Jesus is the head of His church. He builds the church through the revealed truth that HE is the Son of God. A truth revealed by the Father through the Holy Spirit (not through Peter) to believers. The first absolute in a true church is a biblical understanding of Jesus Christ. Anything other than a biblical understanding of Jesus Christ means you don’t have a true church.
Look at John 6 where Jesus says “no one can come to me unless the Father (not Peter) has enabled him” He says this twice in John 6.
There is power in the word, you should read it.

We wont die spiritually if we are in Him It's good you agree that Catholics don't request the dead to pray for us.

If you could do some scripture research and put up an argument instead of just a simple contradiction, then maybe the Holy Spirit might reveal some truth to you.

I am not confined by the errant tradition of men known as
sola ScripturaThe Holy Spirit HAS revealed the Truth to me, through the Church founded by Christ, the Catholic Church.

Still no substantive argument.
The errant tradition of men of following ONLY the Word of God ??
You ARE confined to the error of following the tradition of men.

“The Word of God does not say to follow only Scripture.”
So you feel the Word of God is incomplete ? Like maybe God forgot all that stuff that established the Catholic church ?
There is a good reason why you won’t find that in Scripture.

Why do you feel scripture is incomplete ? Why rely on something that is NOT God breathed ? There is simply no rational, sane reason for it.

If Scripture required
sola Scriptura, surely by definition, Scripture would actually SAY
sola Scriptura.
But it doesn't.
