As it is seven weeks plus a day after the feast of First Fruits. First Fruits is the day following the Shabbat following the beginning of Pesach. The Feast of Shavuot know in the Greek as Pentecost. shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach Adonai Thanks Chuck. The significance isn't that it's Sunday. There's nothing to biblically support the notion that "Sunday" was special. God's other feasts may occur on Thursday, Wednesday, or Tuesday, but this doesn't mean the day itself is significant other than it becomes so when the Lord's feasts fall on them.
