This is new to me and very interesting. Since Iran is involved in Ezekiel 38 maybe Israel will not attack Iran after all as we all expect but have a war with With Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah, Lebanon, and the others instead?

Yes..., that's the general idea and it's a recent idea in Bible Prophecy, only "discovered" in the last few years. It's apparently "making sense" to a lot of Bible Prophecy teachers, now, as it explains some problems with the Ezekiel 38/39 scenario. With the Psalm 83 prophecy, it definitely makes more sense.

BUT, I should say that it's still possible that there may be an attack on Iran, but it's not the kind of attack that will disable it. It will still have its military intact. In fact, one could build a scenario in which such an attack now, will be the motivating force (also, along with Russia and its aims) to attack Israel in the Ezekiel 38/39 prophecy.
