God is powerful, but not omnipotent, especially when it comes to affairs of the world. The omnipotence idea is a fairy tale. Don’t throw God in the dumpster just because you’ve figured out that God isn’t really omnipotent.

Of course there is... I mean, I can’t help it if you don’t believe in it, but there are millions of others, who read their Bible and see it for themselves

I agree with you, myself. I do not believe, however, that believers will be caught up, raptured, before the tribulation; so-called "Pre-Trib Rapture" has no Biblical basis. If you believe so, kindly show me the supporting passages. They're not there, to the best of my ability to seek them out.

Ummm..., I’ve heard that there’s a group that says that God doesn’t know the future, either; that He can’t tell what you’re going to do tomorrow and that He has to sit and wait for tomorrow, to look and see what you’re going to do. But, these people say that God is the *best guesser* in the universe, so usually God’s guesses are “pretty good”... LOL..

That idea, along with yours — are *both heresy* — absolutely heretical and not what the Bible teaches, by what it says.

You shouldn’t be giving other Christians heretical ideas that the Christian faith has *never taught* throughout the centuries and that the Bible doesn’t say...

For what it’s worth, my faith is strongest when I stop asking what if, and start accepting what is.

Bad things happen to good people. Living a righteous life is not a free pass from bad things happening to you. Just look what happened to Jesus.

Life on earth is short. Death without Salvation is forever. Can’t say for sure that’s how it will go, but that’s why they call it faith.

Listen hardest when it’s most quiet.

Mmmmm. Sound like Yoda, intent was not.

:)

I think God speaks to all of us...some of us just ignore what He says.

The first time I really remember God talking to me, it felt like I was hit with a 2x4 and I fell to my knees. Later I was afraid to step up and actually do something with the teachings He had shared, then I felt His warm hand in the middle of my back pushing me forward. I've found that you can hear Him if you listen. Psalm 46: 10-11.

God has never asked me to share a special message to others, because that isn't my job. Leading a Christian movement like Billy Graham, isn't either, however that takes nothing away from the people He has asked.

He will continue to call people to spread His message...if you have a problem with the message pick up your Bible and read the Truth.

Of course God’s omnipotent...why would you think otherwise?
Bad things happen because God allows it. You know, that thing called “free will”.

Yes, I have herd from God. He said I was baaaad and should get the flock out of here. He also said that a spell-checker not only wouldn't correct "herd" to "heard", but that spell-checkers are based on witchcraft and should be shunned.

On a more serious note, nothing says "nutcase" louder or clearer than these 4 words: "God spoke to me".

Hearing voices in your head is a sign of schitzophrenia. Seek medical help.

I’m including something, from another thread, where I was posting the difference between the Rapture, as an event, and the Second Coming of Christ, as an event...

A chart that lists the individual items of the two separate events... (just some church’s chart, nothing too special about it, other than you’ll find similar information elsewhere, too).

Another similar one...

A Thomas Ice Article...

I’ve posted some other stuff, but I would have to look for it. I don’t keep that around for such postings, ya know... LOL...

Then you must not be one of His sheep, because the Bible says that everyone of the Sheppard’s sheep know the voice of the Sheppard. And that the carnal man can not comprehend spiritual things.

Spell check only works on mis spelled words

You are correct, but if you do check the spelling, it usually gives you another chance to look over your post for errors.

I very much agree with what you’ve said.

I, too, have felt a warm presence in the middle of my back. It preceded a difficult time in my life, and in retrospect, I know God was signaling that he would always be with me...even through tough times.

I have learned through study that God communicates through Holy Scripture, promptings of the Holy Spirit, circumstances and the words of others. I have witnessed too much in this regard to believe otherwise.

Why do you think that?
