Our souls prosper when we follow and obey God’s principles, including tithing, I might add. I know God will take care of us as we walk in obedience to His laws.

I firmly agree. However, different people mean different things when they say “take care of us”. When one sees how the apostles died, it can be argued that God didn’t take care of them very well. Especially if one is more focused on this life (described in the bible as a “mist) vs our eternity with Him.
Each fulfilled the purposes of God through his life and death. We don’t always know where He’s going to take us, but if our souls are prospering, WE are prospering, whether he provides only food and shelter or wealth. If they walked closely with God, He took care of them, even if they suffered and died. God was there in their midst. None of us really knows how He’ll do that for us until we get there.
I agree with that post completely.
