Do you know of anyone like this who posts on Free Republic?

Check out any of the old Mitt Romney threads. There are virulent anti-Mormons on FR and a host of others who mock the beliefs of the LDSers. To deny that is to be disingeneous.

Mock or question and expose?

I guess it is a matter of what one is seeking to protect...

Or hide.

And there were plenty of reasons to oppose Mitt Romney on FR, unless you think 85% of the members here who were opposed to Mitt are ALL so called "Mormon bashers".

Indeed it was his politics that first attracted my attention, the LDS was a bonus, something I knew or cared little about until I saw the almost total disconnect from reality his supporters had, and the spin and methods they used to try and sell him here on FR. After he was done in the race I looked into it and was shocked at what I found, and surprised at how well it has remained hidden from the world.

Given your born on date, making any comment on "All" the old Romney threads is suspect, for if you really did review them, you would find 95% of them focused on his politics, his helathcare plan, weakness on guns and abortion among other things. The LDS piece was more a convenient cover for his supporters, a way to not answer the charges but play victim, to say the charges were just bigoted responses, very DU in nature IMHO. While there was indeed some of that it was in reality very rare, like I said his politics were more than sufficient grounds to oppose him for Conservatives. ...
