A serious belief in the subject matter renders the article absolutely irrelevant -- it is a self-negating document. By its own claims, Dr. Riddlebarger cannot expect to affect anybody's chances at salvation.
The problem is, of course, caused by a rather ridiculous (if tacit) assumption: that God expects nothing of us.
Scripture does not support such a claim.
A father loves his children. Is it a waste of time to remind them of that fact? To remind them he will never leave them and that they are his joy and have been given a glorious inheritence for which they should be forever grateful, all of which will compel them to become more generous, humble, charitable human beings, confident in his guidance and trusting in his protection?
