Relying on your own faith to save you is hardly an exercise in humility.
I am a member of a PCA church who comes from a decidedly non-reformed background, and predestination is the one Calvinist concept I really have difficulty with.
Specifically, can you explain to me, if we are already prechosen, 2 Peter 3:9 -
9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
