***I notice that you studiously avoid the Gospels in your lengthy reply
It was not necessary since anyone knowledgeable in the scriptures would readily recognize the Acts 2:23-24 (Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death..)as being a reiteration of what Jesus said (Luke 22:22, And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed).***
Then why did you not quote Luke? The Gospels are specifically avoided in Reformed theology (and related) except for certain out of context snippets which appear to support minor theological points.
***Then of course there is John 19:10-11, where Jesus says to Pilot, Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.***
The point being?
“The Gospels are specifically avoided in Reformed theology”
I don’t know about “Reformed Theology”, not being of that system.
“The point being?”
Now follow along here, the point is subtle. When Pilot condemned Jesus he did so because God told him to do it.
“Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above”
