How can you love that which you cannot concieve of? Further, I can concieve of Him quite well - such is the miracle of the Incarnation.
More nasty things have been done in the name of "hard doctrine" than in the lack of hard doctrine
"Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set a man 'against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's enemies will be those of his household.'" ~ Matthew 10:34-36
It is almost as if Jesus said such doctrines would be hard and may create strife.
You cannot.. even if you think you can..
[ Further, I can concieve of Him quite well - such is the miracle of the Incarnation. ]
Apes also think they understand things around them too.. and they do on a certain "level" of understanding..
[ "Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set a man 'against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's enemies will be those of his household.'" ~ Matthew 10:34-36 ]
Voila!.. denominations..
[ It is almost as if Jesus said such doctrines would be hard and may create strife. ]
Doctrines create the walls of the sheep pen(s).. (John ch 10).. You seem to be making my point.. actually not my point but Jesus' point..
