“The answer is yes,...”

Yes? You answered yes to “have you forgotten the scriptures?”

Thanks for letting me know that you have forgotten the scriptures.

“...so why do you want to cast dispersions on someone of a different religion?”

What makes you think I want to?

“The catholic church did not come to be til some time after Christ ascension.”

No. Christ established the Catholic Church BEFORE His ascension. Your sect, on the other hand, started sometime after 1517. It might have been 480 years ago or last week, but if you’re a Protestant, it’s a sect and it wasn’t founded by Christ.

“So what were those christians called til the catholic church came to be?”

Your question makes no sense since it turns history upside down. The early Christians were Catholics. In writing they were called followers of The Way (Acts 9), and later, Christians (Acts 11), and by A.D. 110, Catholics (Letter of St. Ignatius to the Smyrneans).

“I asked you pointedly about “orthodox believers”. I don’t understand why you have such disdain for believers of Christ who don’t belong to the catholic church?”

I don’t have disdain for them. You seem to have disdain for Catholics, however. You don’t even bother to put Catholic Church in caps. Is that how you hope to belittle the Church?

“Now I answered your question. How about answering my question that you skirted around?”

I did not skirt a question from you. You, on the other hand, accused me of not answering 7 questions when I did so. As I told you before, when you explain why you did that, I’ll answer your question.

As I said to you in post 115: “I’m also waiting to see why you claimed I answered NO questions when I answered 7 out of 8 (all that were pertinent, in other words).”

And in the same post: “Since I answered 7 questions and you falsely accused me of answering none, it’s your turn to explain your actions and give an answer to my question. Can you? Can you explain why you made that false claim?”

You need to explain why you made such an outrageous claim. Why would you say that when it was obvious I answered 7 out of 7 pertinent questions. Why would you make the claim you did?

“That’s rich, attacking me personally about “emoting like a schoolgirl”.”

No, what is rich is to claim I answered no questions when I answered 7 and pointed out that very fact.

“Now if I were catholic, and you said that to me, I’d be whining to the mods that you’re making it personal, but I’m not.”

Do you think it matters to me either way? After all, you claimed I didn’t answer any questions when I answered 7. Talk about personal attacks!

“I am going to take this in stride considering I’m a christian who does know that Christ has, despite you, included me in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”

Your opinions are your own - including your well founded hopes and ill founded presumptions.

“I don’t believe Christ wanted only catholics saved, but the whole world.”

True. And to help accomplish that He sent ONE Church to teach about the ONE God and to give the ONE baptism. Christ sent exactly zero Protestant sects into the world.

“I will continue this endeavor regardless how you feel about my “not being in the Body of Christ” because I know I am.”

You are free to assume what ever you like. Your assumption did not prevent you from saying I didn’t answer your questions when I did. How much is your assumption worth then?

“I am going to shake the dirt off my sandals now.”

Of course you are. And that way you don’t have to explain why you claimed I never answered your questions when I actually answered all of the pertinent ones - all seven of them. Convenient.

Have a Happy New Year anyway.
