Did you bother paying attention at Mass? There are every day readings from the Bible, at the end of a year of daily Mass and Vespers EVERY VERSE is read out loud.

The lie is that Catholics “do not read their Bibles”. Total nonsense. First it is read OUT LOUD in the entirety (including the Books Luther excised) every year. Second, every parish I know has a Bible study group to which all are invited.

Sorry they lost my attention when the mindless repetitive chanting began. ;~) No disrespect intended! Just my personal view. I much prefer a Baptist service where we read the Bible verses to ourselves during the service, so everyone knows that what the preacher is preaching is IN the Bible and he's not leaving anything out or changing God's Holy word. The Catholics and former Catholics I have known have all said that at mass, Catholics do not read God's word along with the “Father”. Maybe they were just lazy Catholics, I don't know! I take my Bible to church every time I go and read along with the pastor.

Ummm, the verses having to do with sin and Satan have been excised out, I hate to say. A lot of times, I go to my Douhay-Rheims to see the difference in the translation and there's little tidbits surgically missing.
