I have said before, and I will say again: If either of my children had ever been abused by a priest, I would be in prison and the priest would be dead. None of us would take money in exchange for innocence, and those who would are nothing but pimps.

I never could understand how a parent could have taken that hush money. “Father” would have been begging to die, and Daddy, like you, would be in prison.
Anybody who took that money is just as guilty in the coverup. (In fact...I think they are MORE guilty. JMO)
