Why...and if God knew what choices satan was going to make, and God cannot be wrong, how could satan make a different choice?
God created humans and angels with the capacity to sin. Why? Because without darkness, you can not appreciate light. Without cold, you can not appreciate warm. In other words, in order to illustrate that He is holy, He had to allow for that which is not holy. In order to illustrate that He is just, He had to allow for injustice. In order to illustrate that He is love, He had to allow for unjust hatred, and so on. God did not force Satan to sin, just as He did not force Adam to sin. Yet, their sinning became part of His plan to redeem a people unto Himself. At this point, I believe we get into theological areas that are truly beyond that which we can comprehend; and, you’ll drive yourself nuts trying to do so It is enough to say that God is not the author of evil, though He does allow it - for a purpose; and He is sovereign over all things, so evil will never be 100% triumphant on a global scale.
I believe He created angels and humans knowing every detail of the sins that his creations will commit in the future, not the capacity to sin.
I agree that evil cannot be triumphant because it is also His creation. I do not believe He views evil the same way that we do.
