I’m not familiar with the “LDS version” of being saved. I know that to me, being saved means to have a change of heart, (from sinful ways) and a belief that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.

As I said earlier, I’m not going to second-guess Jesus Christ. Anyone who has the change of heart, and accepts Jesus Christ is “saved” whether living or dead.

Don’t clutter up the discussion by trying to get me to argue about what you’ve quoted, because I’m not responsible for any of the doctrine. I didn’t write it and I wasn’t there when it was written. The rest of it, I leave up to someone with more intelligence than I have. That would be Jesus Christ.

Man can interpret doctrine from any source, no matter what his religion, according to his own revelation. I’m not here to do that. I won’t argue doctrine.

If you ask me of my beliefs, I’m pretty much as you see me here. The things I don’t understand, I either ask for wisdom to do so, or I let it be, since I can’t change it.

And I certainly won’t demand that anyone adhere to my beliefs.

Let me ask you a question: Does it matter what you believe if it is proved to be false? Or does it matter what someone else believes if it is later to be proved true?

When will we know the Truth of all things? Not in this life, for sure. So arguing whose belief is correct is not really an argument, because the only thing that is important is our belief in Jesus Christ.

But there are millions of people who are not believers of Jesus Christ, but I would like to think that He has “Plan B” for them, and only if they are willing. He is not going to take away anyone’s free agency to make them believe in Him.

A person who is dead does NOT have to accept baptism! Again, they are given free agency.

We are ON a thread that is promoting LDS doctrine. You have espoused the doctrine of baptism for the dead as being a "plan B" for saving souls and stated "Anyone who has the change of heart, and accepts Jesus Christ is “saved” whether living or dead."

That doctrine has quite a few conditions attached to it. I pointed them out, and questioned if Jesus would endorse the plan.

I won't post to you again on this thread, however, I'd be happy to discuss your ideas on salvation via FReepmail, if you prefer.
