I’m not about to second-guess Jesus. My only responsibility is to obey as many of His Commandments that I know of, and trust the rest to His tender mercies.

None of us is perfect, and the only thing we can do is strive for perfection. You and I both know we’ll never make it on this earth, but I believe that since Jesus knows the desires of our hearts, our needs and wants will be met in the Eternities with whatever rewards our efforts have merited.

I believe Jesus wants all the world to be with Him in Eternity, including all those who have gone before us, and all those who will come after. We both agree that the only way we can accomplish that is to believe in Him and obey His Word.

So what about all the people who have never heard of Jesus, and who never will? Don’t you think a Just Jesus would make provisions for such people? The temple accomplishes that with bastisms for the dead.

That’s what genealogy is all about. Once you have gone through the temple and gotten your own blessings, each time you go through after that is vicarious for someone who has passed on, be it in your family or someone elses. Eventually, all who have ever lived will know Jesus Christ and be saved.

Temples are not secret...they are sacred. They have been since the first one was built in Biblical times.

The dead are required to undergo by proxy, the same ordinances the living are in the temples. That includes being confirmed a member of the LDS church.

"Following baptism, the deceased must be confirmed a member of the Mormon Church. This ceremony does not have to be performed by the same proxy by the baptism, and usually isn’t. The proxy sits in a chair, and two Mormon Elders place their hands on the proxy’s head, and repeat the following, for each deceased person.

Brother _______, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lay our hands upon your head, for and in behalf of _______, who is dead, and confirm you a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and say unto you, Receive the Holy Ghost. Amen."

You state: "Eventually, all who have ever lived will know Jesus Christ and be saved." What is your definition of "being saved"?

Is it the LDS version that you will enter into the presence of God and His Son IF you are found "worthy" enough to enter the Celestial Kingdom...which is ONLY attainable, in mormon belief, through undergoing the ordinances and rituals (whether living or dead) and "doing all you can do" by adhering to the rules and doctrines of LDS belief? Is THIS what you think a "just" Jesus would restrict his children to?
