Zion it is. How come they got to name it?
They found and farmed it, outside of Native Americans who had their own name for it.
Actually, when it was first made a national monument, the US Government called it by it's Indian name, Mukuntuweap National Park.
The Government later changed it to Zion National Park.
Perfect name, it's a biblical word meaning a place of peace and refuge or sanctuary.
Would you rather it be Mukuntuweap?
