John 1:1,14: In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Let me ask you this, if the Word is Jesus Christ (He is), then who was Christ with? God! Was He with Himself? Sounds kind of silly don't you think? And how does your interpretation of John 1:1,14 square w/ John 17:11,21-23? How do you reconcile that description of one?
There is one God, he is all powerful and exists in a way beyond simplification. I know that wold mess up the whole “god was once a man like us therefore one day we will be gods too” bit, but I can't help that. There is one God and only one God, no polytheism. The Bible is clear, Jesus the word made flesh, it is elegantly simple yet gloriously complex. We become one with the father in spirit by accepting his gift of Grace.
No “interpretation” needed, it is quite clear and concise.
