It looks like I did. Seems like a familiar line who else put traditions up with the word of God? Seems like Paul who wrote 85% of the NT has this to say about traditions.
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

He is not fooled. His Church, the Catholic Church, is the greatest Truth in this life.

The bible does not bear that out. The religious esablisment of Jesus’s day is a good example. Built upon mans traditions to the point that they did not recognize the day of their visitation.

(Scripture & Tradition must be accepted & honored w/equal sentiments of devotion & reverence. Why? For many years it was very traditional to sell indulgences. Why would this have been something to revere? I cannot understand why you folks don't see the fallacy of this argument. Traditions are the work of imperfect man. Scripture is divine. There is no comparison, and to say that they are equal.....is silliness.

For many years it was very traditional to sell indulgences. Please, show me where the Catholic Church taught this...dogmatically, doctrinally, of course.

I have never said that traditions are in any way equal to the word of God that is point I’ve tried to make I have point to scripture and all I get is it’s a mis translation or it ww1 to ww2 nonsense. The religious people of Christ day were so full of mans traditions that they did not see the day of their visitation. They were so full of themselves and their traditions that they were blind.

How did Yah'shua explain to the Pharisees about their
tradition when it impugned His Holy Word ?

Please, show me where the Catholic Church taught this...dogmatically, doctrinally, of course.I realize it's difficult to look at this period in your church's history.....but let's not play cat and mouse. You know.....and everyone on this forum knows.....that it was with expressed permission from the Papal office, itself, that this tradition was carried on. Sometimes....with great fanfare.
This tradition was not worthy of reverence....nor devotion. In fact.....it brought on the Reformation because of it's insidious nature. And.....I'm no fan of Martin Luther.....and what he wrought.....but I certainly understand his motives.
To: guitarplayer1953
I wasn’t accusing you.....I was including you because of your similar argument to mine. Thought you would be interested....that’s all.
