I seem to recall that in the Book of Revelation (IIRC), God is describing how the temple will be rebuilt. There were several courts, and one of the courts was to be left off and 'left to the gentiles'. One wonders if the Temple will fit on Temple Mount with the DotR in place with that court left off.
Interesting stuff.
