Many of us read our Bibles through every year. We try not to take verses out of context and build a religion around them. You need to take the whole counsel of God into consideration, both Catholics and non-Catholics.

From what is being said, it appears that a demon can appear anytime at all, we could be surrounded by them everywhere, and spirits and curses can exist in anything at all....not just in statues, or pictures or jewelry or whatever but could exist as well in a can of tomato soup, from the grocery store....
