No, I’m not saying any of those things. I am simply saying the the Blessed Mother’s role in history is completely unique. Additionally, you are trying to bring other theological arguments into it (i.e. when do those who are saved actually enter Heaven), which only confuses things further.
The Blessed Virgin Mary is in Heaven right now. She has been there since the moment her earthly life was concluded. Traditional Protestantism has NEVER believed otherwise; it has only been recently that anti-Catholics have decided to take their hatred out on the Mother of God.
Protestants rightly "hate" error, especially error which takes the glory that belongs to God alone and gives it to a creature, regardless how graced by God that creature was.
Protestants are confident that if Mary were around, she'd be appalled at what goes on in her name.
I don’t know of any Protty here who has
a microgram’s worth; a sub-atomic particle’s worth of hatred toward the authentic Mary.
Bearing false witness is not attractive.
“Traditional Protestantism has NEVER believed otherwise; it has only been recently that anti-Catholics have decided to take their hatred out on the Mother of God.”
See, now there is the problem. When there is no scriptural evidence for an emotional doctrine, calumnies are the only defense. I don’t know if “Protestantism has NEVER believed otherwise” what I do know is the bible states emphatically, that it is given unto man once to die, Enoch, Elijah and possibly Melchizedek are the only persons excepted in scripture.
What we do know from the scriptures is that there is no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain just unspeakable joy in the presence of the Lord, so how can any person, absent from the body, present with the Lord have any notice of trials and tribulations in this life when they are solely occupied with their “true Love”?
Paul’s testimony is the testimony of all who have entered God’s presence, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing”
In the presence of the Lord, their earthly concerns are done.
WRONG!!! We do not hate Mary. We rather vehemently disagree with your putting this dear woman on some kind of pedestal, making her co-redemtrix and saying the untrue things about her role in our salvation, etc., etc., etc. THAT is what we truly hate—the lies about her.
