Where in Scripture are we taught to pray to Mary? To ask Mary for mediation?

On the contrary, Scripture tells us that Christ is the only mediator between God and men, and that God alone is the recipient of our prayers.

I seem to recall that in Acts, there are descriptions of the apostles healing the sick; I guess all those people who came to them could have ignored the apostles and prayed all on their own and been healed. Too bad that they didn't have the scriptures to tell them that, and had to rely on the apostles to be their intermediaries....

Where are we taught in Scripture to lean on our own understanding?

First, I'm not asking Mary for mediation - mediation is reconciling us and God. I'm asking her for intercession - that she bring my petitions to God through her Son; essentially, pray for me. James 5:16 tells us the prayers of the righteous are especially effective, and I believe she is especially righteous.

How do our petitions get to God? Through Jesus. But Jesus is God, no? All petitions go to God through Jesus - He is the bottleneck, so to speak, but the petitions take many routes to Him. Why did the Psalmist command Angels - are they not in Heaven? If Angels in Heaven can hear us, why can't Saints?
