Read your Bible. The assignment should you choose to accept it is: at what point did anyone understand that Mary was Assumed into Heaven. Also, what 1st/2nd century figure wrote, preached, talked about an Assumption. We have plenty of evidence for Jesus in the 1st century which was the point in the first place.

Augustine? What year was he born again? Bwhahahah!!! Did he ever verify the Assumption? Left the whole deal open just like another 4TH CENTURY “father” Epiphanius. Opined about perpetual virginity, like he observed Mary and Joseph every waking day and night, give me a break.

“Either you accept all of the Church’s pronouncements or you accept none. You cannot pick and choose”

Either you accept two corrupted, ELECTED, men of "powers" dogma a little less than 2000 years after the fact or the true God who sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Your Church just added 2 requirements for salvation based on legends and assumptions on a created FALIBLE human being no less. Nice going.

Well said.

Though I probably wouldn’t say “nice going” even in satire! LOL.

I see. So the greatest Doctor of the Church is irrelevant unless and until rollo tomasi approves of some snippet.

If your Bible contains 1 Tim 3:15, then you have the means to understand the role of the Church.

If you cannot accept some of the Church’s pronouncements, then be consistent and reject them all. If you reject the Church, then reject the Canon as well as the Creeds. Invent your own - you’re doing that now.
