It’s an inaccurate statement, since none of us KNOWS who’s pushing the abuse button. But when it’s said repeatedly, it creates, and then perpetuates, a stereotype which, conveniently, cannot be proven - OR - inconveniently, disproven.
Similar, I suppose, to Mad Dawg's oft repeated charge of "out to drive us nutty".
