Question: Is the co-pilot of an airliner equal to or greater than the pilot? Who's in charge?

Not a good analogy my friend. The co-pilot can do everything the pilot can do. He/she flies the plane, lands the plane, takes over for the pilot when required.

Does Mary fill that role?

If you know the Pilot, then you know that the co-pilot is simply WITH the pilot, never IN PLACE OF the pilot. WITH. With. With. The other meaning of co-.

Reg, I do know that the co-pilot can do the same things as the pilot. I was addressing the “co” not the duties. My point still stands ... but I’ll amend it just for you, my friend ... even though the pilot can do the same duties as the pilot (not saying Mary can do the same things Jesus does), who has seniority?

of course not. That is why I said the particular terminology was confusing at best, and would lead to real misunderstandings at worst.

But the Catholic Church does not teach the co-redeemer thing anywhere. If it isn’t in the official Catechism, it isn’t the official stand of the Church.
