As far as I am aware, it is only her prayers united with one's own to God, that anyone looks to Mary. If that is one thing to many, I can appreciate your point, but it does beg a question. What do you mean by EVERYTHING? If you look to your spouse to prepare your breakfast, would that affect your salvation? Christ is 'everything' in the sense that He is in His own category and shares His glory with no one.
He made that very point when He stated that anyone who loved his own family more then Him was not worthy of Him.
