Welcome back. How would you treat some of my recent conversion threads? I understand that most of them are critical of the previous denomination of the convert and do not qualify as ecumenical (*). But some were purely inspirational Catholic threads, for example:

A story of conversion at the Lamb of God Shrine (posted by NYer, pinged by me)

Others mention Catholicism as fulness of the Christian faith, but are not critical of other denominations:

Lastly, some of my recent threads are simple how-to conversion manuals, yet this one got so contentious that it got locked:

How to become a Catholic

Would the very background of conversion from one confession to another disqualify them, or would those of them that do not specifically critique other denominations be allowed as Ecumenical?

(*)I flag all my conversion threads as Ecumenical in Topics because this is how I understand ecumenism to be: an invitation for all to join the Catholic Church. I take it, "ecumenism" as topic does not render a thread "ecumenical" per your new classification.

All three of those threads could have been tagged “ecumenic” or “open” depending on the type of discussion you wished to encourage.

Then I think you might expect Prottys to post alternate threads to discuss such issues, conversions, topics, threads in an open thread from the PROTTY perspective.

Any guesses as to which thread will die an early few post death and which thread will have a long life?
